EdBuPe: You started in the game at Season 3, and since the begin you won  JBBL. It makes you easy to win it?

Superfly Guy: In the early seasons, no; It was definitely more luck than judgement. I dont know much about basketball or the game, so I decided to try and make money. With money normally comes more options (buying better players) and this I hoped would compensate for my lack of tactical knowledge

EdBuPe: In Nippon Cup, you started to win at season 5, but from that moment you win also the cup always. What is most easy win the cup or win the league?

Superfly Guy: With the way the Big 8/Great 8 is set up the league is the primary and most realistic goal for me each season. The National cup relies on more luck and when I am competing in the BB3 if I draw one of my biggest rivals away in the cup I would imagine having to sacrifice one of the games.

EdBuPe: You’re the best in Japan. Do you see someone who can win, apart from you?

Superfly Guy: With the salary cap, you can see teams closing the gap and I am sure the day will come when I will be tested more thoroughly. Cowboys & Operators are the obvious 2 with Griffins now hot on their heels. The chasing pack after them has some determined and knowledgeable guys who are banking some serious money right now.

EdBuPe: And in this moment, you won the B3 and you’re the first in the world ranking. Do you think that you are the best in the BB?

Superfly Guy: BB3 is a cup event. I think to be the best we would all need to play in a League format so that over a 20+ game season you can see who finishes top. The benchmark for me is still BC Torooo and we are competing with maybe 4-6 other teams on our own level. As for the best in BB - I am sure there are many many managers across all divisions that perform as well if not better with the limited resources they work with. Having played the game since season 3, I have my arena, cash in the bank and 7 great players - Anyone could pick up my team and succeed. I dont know if I'd be capable of inheriting a Div3 team and get them promoted to a Div1.

EdBuPe: Althought if your hard-earned B3 and be number 1, please you tell us as this way was to become the best.

Superfly Guy: The transfer market has been key. Watching trends, building players that dont appear all the time and the ability for me to manage my enthusiasm. I could spend $250k less a week but I would have to 'normal' a lot of games and not compete in the BB3. I decide to spend more on wages and although this is not as efficient it is the only way to reach the summit.

EdBuPe: In this moment, do you see BC Törööö can back to win all?

Superfly Guy: Yes and no; Torooo, KDB & Hambourg Bulls are the 3 teams I wouldnt like to face away from home and as mentioned above, its a cup. A cup requires good fortune. In a straight race Torooo must start each season favourite, but with many teams banking a lot of cash and the fact a lot of high wage monsters will find themselves bouncing around on the transfer list, I really think that other teams can 'buy' success in the future. For $12-15mil you can buy 2 massive players and own them for 6-7 weeks and I imagine that future winners of the BB3 might be teams that are prepared to use this strategy.

EdBuPe: How do you see the NT Japan on the future?

Superfly Guy: Stronger! The last couple of seasons we really havent seen much progression on the first NT Players but the U21 manager has really communicated well with the owners and we have some exciting prospects coming through.


EdBuPe: Japan's problem is that there is no translation in BB. When will the Japanese translation?

Superfly Guy: The translation is done! I think there is ongoing communication between the BB's and LA's as to where and how to advertise the game - watch this space!!

EdBuPe: Spain or Italy for the final of World Cup?

Superfly Guy: England?! (South Africa 2010?!) - oh the BB World Cup :D.....it really is a coin flip. 2 amazing rosters with dedicated managers. I really can't decide - I hope the team that deserves it wins and that the random factor doesnt appear in a game of this magnitude. Good luck to both.

EdBuPe: A match you remember for ever.

Superfly Guy: I think I'll remember the BB3 Final for a while!! Some great PL battles v Torooo and KDB too but for obvious reasons the final v Hostivar was special. With the chat room as well there was a good conversation going during the match too.

EdBuPe: A player who is or has been in your team

Superfly Guy: There has been so many so it's difficult to narrow it down. Nels Rusu (Romanian C) was the first legitmate $5mil purchase and Mai Congyou (Chinese PG) was the first legitmate $10mil sale in BB. Miguel Guaqueta was a beast of a PG sadly only allstar potential otherwise he wouldve really been a special player. From todays roster I'm very excited about the future of Brkljac & without Zadok there is no way I would be in the position I am in today.

EdBuPe: A wish for this season.

Superfly Guy: A really fluky 16th draft pick!!

EdBuPe: Something you want to do or earn on BB

Superfly Guy: I have developed with some other great managers a great Private League structure with over 40sides now. I would love to develop this and attract more top managers to compete and then slowly put pressure on the BB's to add international leagues (competitive not friendly). It would also be nice to prove that the BB3 victory was not a one-off!

EdBuPe: Empezaste en la temporada 3, y desde el principio has ganado la JBBL. ¿Te resulta fácil ganarla?

Supefly Guy: En las primeras temporadas, no, era definitivamente la suerte más que la idea que tenía del juego. No sé mucho sobre el baloncesto o el juego, así que decidí probar y hacer dinero. Con el dinero viene normalmente más opciones (de compra los mejores jugadores) y esto me esperaba compensar mi falta de conocimientos tácticos

EdBuPe: La Copa de Japón la comenzaste a ganar en la temporada 5, pero a partir de ahí siempre la has ganado. ¿Qué es más fácil ganar la liga o la copa? 

Supefly Guy: Con la forma en que la Conferencia Este/Conferencia Oeste está configurado de la liga es el principal objetivo y más realista para mí cada temporada. La copa nacional se basa en más de suerte y cuando estoy compitiendo en el BB3 si saco uno de mis mayores rivales, en la copa me imagino tener que sacrificar uno de los juegos.

EdBuPe: Eres el mejor de Japón.¿Ves a alguien capaz de ganar a parte de ti?

Superfly Guy: Con el tope salarial, se puede ver los equipos de cerrar el espacio y estoy seguro de que llegará el día cuando se pondrá a prueba más a fondo. Cowboys & Operators son los 2 obvio con Griffins ahora están pisando fuerte. El grupo de perseguidores después de ellos tiene unos tipos determinados y bien informado y que la banca seria un poco de dinero ahora mismo.

EdBuPe: Y ahora, has ganado la B3 y estás el 1º en el Ranking Mundial. ¿Crees que eres el mejor de BB?

Superfly Guy: BB3 es un evento copero. Creo que para ser el mejor tendrían que jugar en un formato de Liga de manera que más de un 20 + juego de la temporada se puede ver quién termina arriba. El punto de referencia para mí es todavía BC Torooo y estamos compitiendo con otros equipos tal vez 4-6 en nuestro propio nivel. En cuanto a los mejores en BB - Estoy seguro de que hay muchos muchos directivos en todas las divisiones que funcionan tan bien o mejor con los limitados recursos con que trabajan. Después de haber jugado el juego desde la temporada 3, yo tengo mi terreno, dinero en efectivo en el banco y 7 grandes jugadores - Cualquiera puede recoger a mi equipo y tener éxito. No sé si yo sería capaz de heredar un equipo DIV3 y conseguir que promueve a un Div1.

EdBuPe: Aunque, te ha costado ganar la B3 y ser el nº1, cuentanos cómo ha sido ese viaje tan duro.

Supefly Guy: El mercado de transferencias ha sido clave. Mirar las tendencias, la creación de jugadores que no aparecían todo el tiempo y la habilidad para mí para gestionar mi entusiasmo. Podría pasar $ 250K menos de una semana, pero que tendría que jugar "normal" muchos partidos y no competir en el BB3. Me decido a gastar más en los salarios y aunque esto no es tan eficiente, es la única manera de alcanzar la cumbre.

EdBuPe: En este momento, ¿ves a BC Töröö con posibilidades de volver a ganarlo todo?

Superfly Guy: Sí y no; Torooo, KDB y Hamburgo Bulls son los 3 equipos que yo no querría jugar contra ellos fuera de casa y como se mencionó anteriormente, es una copa. La copa requiere la buena fortuna. En una carrera recta Torooo debe empezar cada temporada como favorito, pero con muchos equipos con un montón de dinero en efectivo y el hecho de un montón de monstruos con salarios altos se encuentran rebotando en la lista de transferencias, creo que otros equipos pueden "comprar" el éxito en el futuro. Por $ 12-15 mil se puede comprar 2 jugadores masivos y poseerlos durante 6-7 semanas y me imagino que los futuros ganadores de la BB3 podría ser equipos que están dispuestos a utilizar esta estrategia.

EdBuPe: ¿Cómo ves a la selección de Japón en el futuro?

Superfly Guy: Más fuerte! El último par de temporadas realmente no se podían ver la progresión tanto de los jugadores NT primero, pero el administrador de sub-21 se ha comunicado muy bien con los propietarios y tenemos perspectivas interesantes llegando.

EdBuPe: El problema de Japón es que no tiene traducción al japonés.¿Para cuándo la traducción?

Superfly Guy: La traducción se hace! Creo que hay una comunicación permanente entre los BB’s y LA’s en cuanto a dónde y cómo promocionar el juego - mirad este espacio!

EdBuPe:  España o Italia para la final del Mundial?

Superfly Guy: Inglaterra?! (Sudáfrica 2010?!) - Oh la Copa del Mundo BB: D. .... realmente es una moneda al aire. 2 plantillas con los seleccionadores dedicados increíble. Realmente no puedo decidir - Espero que el equipo que gana se lo merece y que el factor aleatorio no aparezca en el juego de manera abultada. Buena suerte a ambos.

EdBuPe:  Un partido para recordar

Superfly Guy: Creo que voy a recordar la BB3 final por un tiempo!! Algunas LP grandes batallas v Torooo y KDB también, pero por razones obvias, el Hostivař final v era especial. Con la sala de chat, hubo una buena conversación durante el partido también.

EdBuPe: Un jugador que haya estado o esté en tu equipo.

Superfly Guy: Ha habido tantos por lo que es difícil de decir. Nels Rusu (Rumania C) fue la primera compra de $ 5 mil y Mai Congyou (chino PG) fue la primera venta de $ 10mil en BB. Miguel Guaqueta era una bestia,un PG potencial tristemente sólo allstar de lo contrario, hubiera sido realmente un jugador especial. De la lista del día de hoy estoy muy emocionado acerca del futuro de Brkljac y sin Sadoc no hubiese habido manera de estar en la posición que estoy hoy en día

EdBuPe: Un deseo para esta temporada

Superfly Guy: Tener chiripa en la elección del draft!

EdBuPe: Algo que desees hacer o ganar en BB

Superfly Guy: He desarrollado con algunos otros grandes directores de una gran estructura de la liga privada con más de 40 equipos ahora. Me gustaría desarrollar esta y atraer a los grandes del juego de más arriba a competir y luego, lentamente ejercer presión sobre el BB para agregar ligas internacionales (la competencia no amistosos). También sería bueno para demostrar que la victoria BB3 no fue una sola vez!
